Blaine Andersen

MD/Medical Director

Blaine considers it an honor to be selected as the medical director of MV Aesthetics & Wellness Spa. He graduated from Utah State University in 1977 and from the University of Utah Medical School in 1981. Dr. Andersen completed a general surgery residency in Pontiac, Michigan, and a plastic surgery residency in South Field, Michigan in 1989. He achieved board certification in both specialties and then returned home to practice plastic surgery from 1989 to 2021 at Logan Regional Hospital.

Early in Dr. Andersen’s career, his profession, which had focused only on surgery, adopted noninvasive cosmetic procedures. This movement was based on knowing surgery had limitations and many people did not want surgery. For example, facelifts can elevate and tighten skin but can not change the quality of the skin. Nonsurgical procedures like chemical peels and laser resurfacing can remove age-related blemishes and also replicate much of the skin-tightening benefits of surgery. Customized medical-grade skin care products combined with noninvasive cosmetic procedures result in healthier, youthful skin. Microneedling restores loss of skin collagen, injectable filler corrects age-related loss of volume in the face and can enhance desired fullness in the cheeks and lips. Botox minimizes wrinkles secondary to facial animation and with early injection, you can prevent the development of the wrinkles.

All of these procedures, and more, are available here at MV Aesthetics & Wellness Spa. Each treatment is provided by a specialized technician, registered nurse, or physician’s assistant, who uses up-to-date technology and the best available skin care products. As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Andersen will provide medical direction for these procedures that he performs and understands. We are pleased that Dr. Blaine Andersen highly recommends and endorses the team assembled at MV Spa.

Aspen Porter

Licensed Massage Therapist

Introducing our massage therapist Aspen Porter. Aspen earned her license through Bridgerland Applied Technologies. She loves being able to help people find the relief they need. Many people go about life in pain, and Aspen wants to help people learn ways to stop the pain. She believes that we grow from our pain, but only when we allow ourselves to learn from it. Aspen is dedicated to finding the root cause of people’s pain, and work on those areas. For her, the best feeling is when she hears clients tell her that they feel better after treatment than when they came to see her.

Aspen doesn’t perform just the same massage each time, because she believes that the best way to feel better is to target all the muscles, and doing the same technique will accomplish results. That is why Aspen is excellent at her craft, she is passionate about figuring out what is causing the issue and trying various ways to mitigate. If you are hurting, need stress relief, lymphatic work, or pampering. Aspen loves to help clients find ways to feel better.
